FAQ

A few questions…

Can I visit a friend or relative if I'm ill?

We ask you to postpone your visit if you have a fever or symptoms of infection or illness (stomach flu, cold, etc.).

Can I bring my pet?

No, you can’t bring your pet, as we have to consider other residents (fear, allergies…).

Can I visit Grace Village?

Of course, our opening hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. You can call us to make an appointment or fill in our contact form.

Do you currently have any available rooms?

Our availability is subject to change, so we recommend that you register your interest in advance so that you can be placed on our waiting list. To do so, simply fill in our residence request form (URL). As soon as a room becomes available, we will contact people according to their care needs.

What are your rates?

Our prices depend on the degree of autonomy and assistance required. These are assessed according to the SMAF standard (System for Measuring Functional Autonomy). See our Care and general conditions page for more information.

What are the visiting hours for residents' relatives?

Our facility is open 24/7. Friends and family can visit whenever they like.

Can residents bring their own furniture?

Yes, you can submit your request to our Admissions Coordinator.

Do you welcome Francophones?

Yes, of course. We have a ratio of 80% anglophones and 20% francophones in our establishment.

What is a donation of services or products?

A product donation is the voluntary transfer of goods without consideration of value. This can include collections such as books, works of art, etc. A tax receipt may be issued by the Canadian Revenue Agency if official documentation of the transaction is provided (e.g. a sales receipt) or an independent appraisal of the fair market value of the property in question.

Village Grace and Village Grace Care Foundation reserve the right to make the final decision on the use, potential sale for fundraising purposes or disposition of all donated goods.

A gift of services is a contribution in the form of services (e.g. offering time, skills, volunteering). In this case, receipts can only be issued if the services offered meet Canadian Revenue Agency‘s criteria.

To ensure that all donations of products or services comply with Canada Revenue Agency regulations, they will be reviewed by Village Grace’s subject matter expert before being finalized and processed.

  • Official tax receipts can be issued for the following items in particular:
  • Items valued at $100 or more (unless otherwise indicated), where a fair market value can be established. This may include works of art, books, machinery, furniture, etc.
  • Gifts of material goods, including items from a company’s inventory.
  • Gift certificates were purchased by an individual and donated to Grace Village as part of one of its fundraising campaigns.
